Many Hands supports small to medium NGOs by developing business plans, and working in partnership through a joint agreement between the two organisations that generate profit to benefit the wider stakeholder community of each NGO we work with. This business is then registered as a section-8 Company under the Companies Act, 2013 as a Not for Profit laws of India. We give professional business set up training in a bespoke programme to each NGO as well as investing venture capital into the business. 


Ashray Akruti
Ashray Akruti is a registered non-profit, non religious organisation working for hearing impaired children from underprivileged backgrounds. Established in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh in 1996, Ashray Akruti runs a school with a residential facility for hearing impaired children. Ashray Akruti started with five children and now caters to the educational needs of more than 600 children. For more information click here


​Pink Speak Tailoring
Pink Speak tailoring unit manufacture girls’ underwear and distribute them to local schools in Hyderabad and parts of Andhra Pradesh. Pink Speak Tailoring recruits, trains and employs the unemployed mothers of the hearing-impaired children who are educated by Ashray Akruti and also offers work placements to some former students of the school. The undergarments are then distributed free of charge to the underprivileged school girls, along with  an education programme so that the children understand the importance of dignity, hygiene and female empowerment.


Dress the Conscience Campaign - Mothers empowering young school girls

Many vulnerable young girls in India only own one or two undergarments, some miss valuable classes because they do not attend school during their periods. Therefore, the output of this project is that Pink Speak will have produced 35,000 pieces of good quality undergarments, to which the outcome with be that 7,000 schoolgirls will have access to appropriate underwear. The social impact can be measured by the self-confidence in the girls, encouraging dignity and good hygiene which will lead to empowerment.
