The Social Justice programme is a bespoke education tool for children in the North East of England looking at social injustice in relation to poverty and the vulnerable in India.
Individual schools gain a full understanding of the cultural issues related to a linked overseas’ project and the children also learn practical ways that they can help to address social justice problems.
The programme includes the North East children getting to know the culture, faith and lifestyles of children from India and the issues that they face on a daily basis.
There are opportunities for Skype link ups allowing the children to gain a better understanding of the differences before sharing thoughts and plans. We return to schools to present the changes, demonstrate their impact and how the children had made a difference via this programme.
